My name is Anna Mata i Riera. I was born in Barcelona and have always had a very special connection with the island of Menorca, where I spent my summers.

Since I was little, I have collected glass, stones, and other objects eroded by the waves, which I have always called "treasures of the sea". I would return from the beach with my pockets full.

One spring day in 2017, while collecting treasures by the sea, I found a beautiful blue glass. I wished I could always carry it with me, and that is how Riera Joies was born.

Once in the workshop, I select the treasures and look for the best way to combine them in each design. I handcraft each piece with silver and gold, turning these little treasures from the sea into jewelry you can wear every day.

Each treasure is different, which makes each piece of jewelry unique too. No two are alike!
